Did you know that Wikimania, the largest gathering of Wikimedians around the world, is run by volunteers for volunteers? Do you want to help Wikimedians connect, collaborate and share knowledge? Do you want to be part of something the whole Wikimedia movement enjoys, create great memories and make new friends along the way? Then, sign up as a volunteer!
In 2022, we will work together to organize a primarily virtual Wikimania with decentralized in-person events, however global circumstances allow. And we want you to join us.
How do I sign up?
We are inviting nominations and self-nominations for the Core Organizing Team for Wikimania 2022. This team will help lead the development and production of the overall event, focused on the conference program, and will be supported by technical and project staff at the Wikimedia Foundation and the Wikimania steering committee. Volunteers will need to commit time each week between now and August to make the event a success.

If youâre interested in supporting Wikimania but canât commit to the Core Organizing Team, we still want to hear from you! There will be additional calls for volunteers in other roles, both leading up to and during the event. These include helping with communications, program, trust and safety, and more. If you are interested in such roles, please be on the lookout for our volunteer signup.
