Representatives from GLAM entities (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) will meet and exchange their expertise at Indonesia Open GLAM Conference 2022 in Jakarta, Indonesia, on November 5â6, 2022.
As one of the focus areas for Wikimedia Indonesia since 2014, GLAM has become our main aim in providing awareness on the importance of cultural data transparency to the public. Hence, after the event restriction policy was lifted by the Wikimedia Foundation, we organize this conference to connect with several GLAM stakeholders.
This is the first conference we are organizing that targets stakeholders in GLAM institutions from various regions in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, West Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
At this conference, there are sessions presented by experienced speakers. Several presenters who have demonstrated experience in digitizing archives will also participate in the presentations. UNESCO Jakarta Office representative will also be present as a speaker to introduce UNESCO Memory of the World and the nomination process. Details of the draft schedule can be found on this page.
Travel scholarships are available for those who have an interest in delving into cultural data transparency and GLAM. Any individual interested in attending this conference can apply for the scholarship until October 15, 2022.
