On November 30, 2023, a Japan-themed edit-a-thon was held within the scope of the Wikimedia Japan-Türkiye Friendship Project, hosted by the İstanbul Bilgi University Wikipedia Student Club. Before the edit-a-thon, Japanese Wikimedians sent various messages to participants in Türkiye. Additionally, Eugene Ormandy, one of the partners of the Japan-Türkiye Friendship Project, sent a video message and wished success to the participants.
Hi! This is Eugene Ormandy from Japan. I’m really happy that our sister club holds a Japan-themed editathon! Thank you so much! For this editathon, I translated “Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts” into Japanese (イスタンブール文化芸術財団) and added it to Wikidata. I’m looking forward to collaborating more and more!
