As Wikimedians, a considerable amount of our time is spent traversing the virtual world – delving into the depths of the internet to unearth references, contributing images to Commons, engaging in discussions with fellow community members on diverse topics, and participating in both online and offline meetups. Even beyond our Wikimedia pursuits, a significant portion of our lives unfolds online in various ways. While we are well-versed in staying safe in the physical world, like checking for oncoming traffic before crossing a street, the question remains: how do we ensure our safety in the digital realm?
This year’s Wikimania holds a special offering – a Virtual Digital Safety Clinic conducted in 9 languages: Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, English, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin, Marathi and Russian! The digital safety clinic is designed with the purpose of educating and empowering community members to navigate the digital landscape with confidence and security. Through 1:1 online consultations calls, the Clinic serves as a platform to address concerns, provide answers to queries, and present practical solutions to challenges pertaining to digital safety.
How can you participate?

- Look forward to a confirmation email containing the call details.
- Participate in the session at the designated time.
