We are off to a great start in 2024! We present our new website, with a renewed, agile and friendly design, which also offers new contents, more contact possibilities, and a wide range of information about all our Wikimedia projects.

The renewal of our website is one of the projects belonging to our Communication Programme, which is part of Wikimedia Spain’s Strategy 2022-2024. The aim of this programme is to raise awareness about the Wikimedia movement through the different communication channels we manage, providing content, tools and agile structures that allow our members and the general public to be informed about our work and activities, and to learn how to take an active role in the movement.

New space: Clearer and simpler design and content

Both the design and the contents used in our new website have been studied and analysed according to the communication needs of our users, and aligned with the structure of the other websites of the Wikimedia Europe and America chapters.

On the new website you will be able to find all the important and interesting information that our users need to know on a daily basis, such as the latest and upcoming activities, community news, featured projects, active campaigns, tools and techniques, among others.

Although this new Wikimedia Spain website is already public as of today, like any other project, it will continue to evolve in order to become even stronger. Soon, this new website will be translated into more languages so that it can be accessible to the entire Wikimedia community; as well as, new sections will be added, more useful tools will be built for users, among others.
