  • Curso de formación en Wikidata: Wikimedia Chile has launched a new Wikidata course in Spanish – designed particularly for Latinamerica but open to all! Take this course if you are interested in open data and knowledge management on digital platforms, it makes for a great introduction to Wikidata. The course offers a certificate for those who complete at least 80% of the activities proposed. Learn more about it here!

  • Introduction to Wikipedia: Through a series of updated and dynamic videos, this course walks you through the basics of Wikipedia editing and engaging with the larger movement. Developed by an experienced Wikipedia trainer, the course focuses on English Wikipedia and it might provide you with some new insights to strengthen your editing skills. Take a peak behind the scenes and see how the instructor created this course in this Wikimania presentation.

  • Changemakers’ toolkit: Have you thought about the positive impact that you have in the world as a Wikipedia editor? Wikimedia UK and the Sheila McKechnie Foundation collaborated on this course to bring you the resources you need to level up your skills as a changemaker in the movement. Learn how to move from problems to solutions and how to make sure you’re delivering impactful communications in your advocacy efforts.

This season, we’re grateful to see all the collaboration opportunities that are taking place to improve the WikiLearn experience and course offering. For example:

  • The Africa Growth Pilot is being expanded and improved to become a self-guided course on WikiLearn. You can help co-create the course experience which focuses on core policies of English Wikipedia.
  • Wikimedia France and Wikimedia Deutschland have been closely collaborating on bringing their catalog of MOOCs to WikiLearn, such as the MOOC Wikidata in French and English.
  • Wikimedia Morocco has been providing key feedback to improve the platform, particularly for Arabic speakers and new editors.
  • Wikimedistas de Uruguay and Wikimedia Sverige have been key in improving features that allow course instructors to offer a better experience to their learners.

Thank you all for helping us make this space better every time!
