♻️ Databox: a simple Wikidata-powered infobox for Wikipedia

20 March 2022 @ 14:00 15:00 UTC

♻️ This event is part of the Wikidata Data Reuse Days 2022.

On Wikipedia, showing information synchronized with Wikidata is a great way to keep data up-to-date and reduce the amount of manual work for editors. But installing and adapting a complex Lua module can be challenging, especially for communities with a limited amount of editors and technical knowledge. In this session, you will discover Databox, a simple, ready-to-use template that presents the most useful data from Wikidata, in your language, on Wikipedia articles. You will learn how it works, how to install it on your wiki, and you will be able to get support from people who have experience using and configuring this tool.
