♻️ Wikidata use in KDE’s travel apps

♻️ This event is part of the Wikidata Data Reuse Days 2022.
In this session we’ll look at how KDE’s travel applications Itinerary and KTrip make use of Wikidata. This include identifying and locating airports and train stations, information about countries such as the used power plugs and driving sides, and visual details of public transport lines such as logos and line colors. We’ll also cover how Wikidata data is processed and combined with other datasets such as OSM for this, the challenges faced and the contributions made back to Wikidata as part of this.
