♻️ GeneWiki: The Wikidata Integrator

♻️ This event is part of the Wikidata Data Reuse Days 2022.
The GeneWiki project started in 2008 by providing gene annotations to Wikipedia. With the arrival of Wikidata the project shifted its focus from the English Wikipedia to Wikidata and have since created and maintained bots to allign biomedical databases with Wikidata. Initially the project worked with wrappers around the API of wikidata and the Wikidata Query Service. After a while those wrappers were combined into a python library called the Wikidata Integrator. In this workshop this package will be demonstrated.
