Open Food Facts is the “Wikipedia of Food”. We empower people to make enlightened food choices for their health and the environment. We’re progressing on a journey to turn packaging into raw data, and turn this raw data into personalized and actionable knowledge. In order to achieve that, we have long used Wikidata to build our curated taxonomies, and are now looking at more advanced uses. The presentation of Open Food Facts will be followed by a deep dive on how we use Wikidata, and a “state of food data” on Wikidata, which will kick off discussions !
