What is this Learning Clinic for?
Many Wikimedian affiliates face internal and/or external communication challenges. These can often escalate to a “crisis”, which puts pressure on affiliate staff or volunteers, as well as community members. In this Learning Clinic we will look at a case study in crisis prevention and management in order to share some practices and tips.
What are the Learning outcomes?
– Participants will learn about the different approaches that can be taken to prevent and manage communication crisis through the experience of two Wikimedian affiliates and the use of a hypothetical study.
– Participants will be able to take away a list of tips to prevent and deal with communications crises.
