Wikimania 2025

Wikimania is the Wikimedia movement’s annual conference, organized by volunteers and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation. Topics of presentations and discussions include Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia, other wikis, open-source software, free knowledge and free content, and social and technical aspects related to these topics.
Wikimania 2025, the 20th edition of this annual event, will happen in the city of Nairobi, Kenya with online/ virtual conference setup on 6th to 9th August 2025 and with pre-conference activities on 5th August. It will be [[2025:Organisers|hosted]] by a collaboration among the Wikimedia volunteers and user groups of East Africa (EARTHub) and the Wikimedia Foundation.
This edition marks a great milestone as it also celebrate Wikimania’s 20th anniversary.
